If you like to buy goods directly from local sources, check out the Gallatin Farmers Market. Open on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings during the spring, summer, and fall, the Gallatin Farmers Market draws more than two dozen local vendors selling fruits, vegetables, plants, flowers, jellies, baked goods, knitwear, soaps, and other interesting fare. “As more people have been coming to the Gallatin Farmers Market, we’ve been adding occasional family-friendly events to the regular line-up of vendors,” says Kim Baker, CEO of the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce, which has been managing the Gallatin Farmers Market since the beginning of the 2017 season. “We’ve got a strong foundation to build on with a great selection of vendors, hundreds of repeat customers, and plenty of surprises in store for 2018.”

Located at 160 Franklin Street, the Gallatin Farmers Market is open seasonally from May through October. The market pavilion can also be rented for special events. For more information, call the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce at (615) 452-4000.
