Gallatin Grub: Black Press
It's almost time to leave 2020 in the dust, and for that... we need a caffeine boost! For today's Grin Behind the Grub, meet the folks behind the delicious drinks at Black Press Coffee Shop.
Black Press Coffee Shop, which has two locations in Gallatin, is a locally-owned and locally-roasted coffee shop. With locations downtown at 106 Public Square and at 1188 Long Hollow Pike, they're a convenient stop no matter where you are!
Black Press, which is owned by Tim and Ashley West, first opened in 2018 in Hendersonville. The Public Square location opened in May of 2019 and has been serving up delicious coffee to downtown Gallatin ever since, and the more recent addition to Gallatin - the Long Hollow location - opened this past June and has since become a hotspot for folks going into (or out of) Nashville.
With a menu covering coffee drinks such as cappuccinos, Cubans, and delicious cold brews in addition to house-mixed tea blends and Five Daughters donuts, the drinks are fantastic and the ambiance makes it even sweeter! Looking for a spot to hang out? Either location offers comfy seating and a relaxed feel, making them the perfect spot for a catch-up with a friend or a lazy day reading.
At the Chamber office, we love their oat milk lattes (with a half scoop of lavender), their delicious Americanos, and the dirty Chai. In the mood for something decaf? They have refreshing herbal teas that fit the bill, too! The best part, though, is their baristas - Micah and crew know your drink order before you even order, and they're always happy to share a chat and a smile.
